Kevin
My IM name is airsmith006, feel free to chat with me sometime
I am 5' 10" and weigh 195 pounds, and have been called "barrel chested" (whatever that is supposed to mean)
How to begin when you are describing yourself?
I consider myself unpretentious, so I talk about myself too easily.
I enjoy a wide range of variety and activities.  I have done a lot of different activities in my 35 years on this earth, and am always looking for new things to try.
I dearly love music, in most types, except for rap.  (Not sure exactly how that qualifies as music, if you have figured it out, let me know)
I feel equally comfortable in a tux, slacks, or my favorite pair of faded blue jeans. (OK, I was in a tux only twice in my life, but as I remember, they were comfortable)
I have some pretty firm opinions on people and life, for example:
To be genuine and honest with yourself is to be genuine and honest with your friends and family
A relationship cannot survive without honesty, friendship, and most important of all trust.
I love conquering a new goal, the intensity of work, the process, and the accomplishment.  Like everyone, it is nice to be publicly recognized for your accomplishments, but it is the internal satisfaction that drives me to succeed.
Quiet times are special: they recharge your batteries.  Quiet times with a special companion are priceless.
"Tears are good, they lubricate the soul."  (Robert Heinlein, Friday)
I don't pray for help for myself, just opportunity.  I pray for help for other people
Luck is preparation looking for opportunity
I have a low tolerance for inflated egos, dishonesty, bad attitudes, stupidity, laziness, a "hard heart," and immaturity.
I despise a thief
I have a high regard for ambition, focus, goals, achievement, success, family, friends, sensitivity, talent, courtesy, honesty, and hard work.
I value education, common sense, commitment, integrity, and virtue
I revere my heritage, I am here only because of their perseverance, and vow to try to do the same thing for my descendants.
I believe in God, but trust my own instincts, abilities, and sweat
A "warm heart" is a credit to humanity, your upbringing, and is a compliment of the highest order
The best thing in the world is the unconditional love of another, giving or receiving
Love requires effort and commitment
To open your heart to another is the greatest gift you can give.  To truly love someone, you must forget the past pains of other loves.  Like the wise man once said "Love like you've never been hurt."
You have to like someone in order to love them
Affection can be both psychological and physical
Affection takes many forms: a flower for no reason, a sigh, a smile or wink, a hug, holding hands, snuggling, and making love are all forms of showing affection.
Relationships are honest or they are ultimately destined for failure.
Humor is the elixir of life.  I love humor in all of it's dimensions, and try to find humor in everyday life.
I love animals
As a computer specialist, I think technology is there to help us, but both as a society and as individuals we should be careful not to lose our humanity.
Technology will enhance communication, but nothing can replace a touch or a smile.
"Don't let your head interfere with your heart" (Albert Einstein)
Now, for how I believe in treating someone:
I believe you should give flowers for no particular reason
I will always open the door for a lady
I am a protector, which includes everything from holding someone while they cry, to making them feel secure in a dark alley.  I have never been, nor ever will I be, a victim.
An unexpected email telling someone a secret about yourself can mean so much.
No matter how minor it might seem at the time, always say thank you when someone does something for you.
You should always hold hands when walking.

WHEW!

And now, for the photos (brace yourself :-):

I am an avid diver, and dive whenever I can.
During a trip last year, we were returning from a dive and trying to outrun the storm (as you can see behind me)
Always looking for something new and exciting

One of my dive partners, Rick, from back east preparing for a night dive for lobsters.

I have been active in the paintball industry for years, and play when I can.
